S Tier
ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16
Excellent performance with a bright screen. Toolless upgradability. Heavier option for a 16" model. Exceptionally cool feeling keyboard while gaming.
ASUS TUF F16
Great balance of performance, thermals and features. Fans can get loud and screen is a bit dim.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14
Light, portable and premium all metal build with an OLED screen.
Lenovo Legion 9i
The ultimate 18" gaming laptop, though thick and heavy to fit in all that performance. Great battery life for an 18", insane upgrade options (4x RAM & 4x M.2)
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i
Great balance of performance, thermals and features. Ports moved from the back to this sides this generation. No Thunderbolt 5 or Windows Hello face unlock. Above average brightness for OLED.
A Tier
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S
Thin and light with an OLED screen. Battery life isn't great and keyboard can get warm in the middle, not bad on WASD and wrist rest though.
Alienware 18 Area-51
The second best all-round 18" gaming laptop. Excellent performance while staying cool. 5 Gigabit ethernet (rare in a laptop), but WiFi 7 is soldered.
ASUS ROG Strix G16
Excellent performance with a bright screen. Toolless upgradability. Heavier option for a 16" model. Exceptionally cool feeling keyboard while gaming.
ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18
Excellent performance with a bright Mini-LED screen. Toolless upgradability. Exceptionally cool feeling keyboard while gaming. Better battery life than other 18" models.
HP Omen MAX 16
Great performance and a nice looking OLED screen. Heavy for a 16" model. SSD & Wi-Fi upgrades need cooler removal. Thermals can get hot.
Lenovo Legion 5
Light and portable with amazing battery life. No Advanced Optimus, G-Sync or FreeSync. Above average brightness for OLED.
Lenovo Legion 7i
Light and portable with a premium all metal build. Above average brightness for OLED.
Lenovo Legion Pro 5i
Great balance of performance, thermals and features. Ports moved from the back to this sides this generation. Above average brightness for OLED.
Lenovo LOQ 15
Excellent budget laptop with decent build quality despite plastic design. Priced very competitively, good performance. Battery drains slowly under heavy load with 170W charger, but fixed with optional 245W upgrade when ordering from Lenovo.
MSI Vector 16 HX
Great performing cheaper option. Excellent Linux support and above average battery life. However missing features like Advanced Optimus and G-Sync. Fans can run loud. Battery life from AMD model on lower side.
Razer Blade 14
Light and portable with a premium all metal build. Excellent looking OLED screen. Good battery life and fans don't get too loud. Best keyboard lighting in a gaming laptop.
Razer Blade 18
Premium all metal build. Thinner and lighter than other 18" models. Great Linux support and best keyboard lighting in a gaming laptop. RGB bottom window is a gimmick and it doesn't have as many upgrade options as other 18" models.
