GamingLaptop.Deals is this website! It's run by Jarrod's Tech to help gamers save money by sharing the best deals on gaming laptops. ### How does GamingLaptop.Deals find deals? We track gaming laptop prices from trusted retailers across the regions we cover, then use our review experience and historical price data to decide whether a discount is actually worth sharing. A lower price does not automatically make something a good deal. We look at the laptop's specs, performance potential, display, overall value, retailer reputation, stock status, and how the laptop compares with other competing products. We do not aim to list every discount on the Internet. We would rather show fewer deals that are genuinely worth considering than fill the site with laptops that are overpriced for their specs, sold by retailers we do not trust, or we would not recommend. ### What makes GamingLaptop.Deals different? Other "deal websites" either post every single discount regardless of whether or not it's actually a good deal, or they let anyone post what they think is a good deal, when it may not be. We use our experience from reviewing 370 gaming laptops on YouTube to curate the best options. As we have historical price data, we know whether or not a deal is actually good. The old retailer trick of increasing the price to then lower it for a "sale" does not work on us. ### How often are deals updated on GamingLaptop.Deals? Some retailers who offer API support are checked every hour. Otherwise, we manually check all prices at least once per day to ensure you never miss the latest sales. ## Deals and pricing ### Is GamingLaptop.Deals affiliated with retailers? Some retailer links on GamingLaptop.Deals may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps support the site, but it does not decide which laptops we list, which deals we highlight, or which retailers we link to. Our number one goal is to help you save money. If a better deal is available from a retailer that does not pay us commission, we will share the better deal. Likewise, we will not list a poor value laptop just because it has an affiliate program. We do not let retailers or laptop brands pay to override our judgment. Deals are chosen based on value, specs, price history, retailer trust, stock status, and whether we think the laptop is actually worth considering. There are a handful of models that are blacklisted from this site due to how poorly we reviewed them. However, we acknowledge that in some countries, these models might be the only options available, so we will still share them - but they have to be even better deals to make up for it. ### What brands are covered on GamingLaptop.Deals? Brand is irrelevant in our selection process. Every brand is capable of making good and bad gaming laptops. What we care about is whether or not a deal offers good value for the level of performance and features on offer. However, as mentioned above, there are some specific models we prefer not to list where possible. ## Regions, tax, and shipping ### Can I find deals for my country on GamingLaptop.Deals? We currently share deals from different regions including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, the Philippines, and India. ### Do your deals ship internationally? It depends on the retailer. Some of them ship internationally, but others do not. You will have to check what options the retailer has available after adding the laptop to your cart and attempting to check out. If you live in a country that is not listed above, then your best option is to check deals from the closest country to you. ### Can you add deals from my country? Maybe one day. For now, it takes all our available time that we have to manage the 7 regions above. In future we would like to expand into more regions. ### Do prices on GamingLaptop.Deals include tax? It depends. We share the prices found on the retailer's website. For the United States and Canada, our listed prices do not include tax, as this is normal in those countries. But for the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, the Philippines and India, taxes are included in our listed prices. ### Do you include shipping costs in the deal prices? No. This will vary based on where you are located. Shipping prices will be provided by the retailer's website that we are linking to after you add the laptop to your cart and proceed through the check out process. ## Price history and deal tags ### How do you know if a deal is a "Record Low" price? We keep track of prices internally for different gaming laptops with different specs. We will only apply the "Record Low" tag if we are confident that this is the case and have data to back it up. The tag also applies when a price is within a small margin of the lowest price we've tracked, not only at the exact figure. For example, if we see an epic looking deal on a gaming laptop, but the configuration of specs is not one we've shared before, we won't apply the "Record Low" tag if we don't have enough historical price data on it. It may indeed be a record low price, but we need to be confident when saying so. As we don't check every single retailer known to humankind, and instead check a finite number of reputable websites, it's possible that a "Record Low" deal has been lower elsewhere. "Record Low" specifically refers to the data that we collect from well regarded retailers, and does not mean "lowest price ever on the Internet anywhere". Dodgy retailers who we don't link to are likely to have lower prices, for example. ### What does the "Great Deal" tag mean? This is one step shy of a record low price. A great deal means the current sale price is within 5% of the all-time lowest price recorded for that configuration of laptop. For example, if a laptop's record low price is $1,000, we would show the "Great Deal" tag if the sale price is $1,050 or less. ### Can you share your price tracking data on the site? Simply click the "Price History" button for a deal to view all of our available price history. By default, we will show the last month of history. You can change the time period with the buttons above the graph. ### Why does price history sometimes stop updating? There are two reasons you might see gaps in a retailer's price history. First, if a laptop has been out of stock at that retailer for two weeks or more, we hide that retailer's line from the chart because the listed price isn't something you can actually buy. We keep checking the listing in the background, and the line reappears automatically once the laptop is back in stock. Second, if we temporarily remove a retailer listing (for example, due to a broken link or discontinued product page), the price graph will show a gap for that period and resume once the listing is restored. ### What does the "Popular" tag mean? A deal will be tagged as "popular" if it has received the most clicks within the last 24 hours. The goal of this feature is to share overall community sentiment. If a lot of people are interested in a specific laptop, you'll be able to see it. We limit the amount of clicks per user that get counted, which prevents someone trying to spam clicks and make a laptop appear popular. ## Alerts and newsletters ### Can I get deal alerts from GamingLaptop.Deals? Yes! Simply click the "Alert" button next to a deal. You will be prompted to provide the price you wish to be alerted at and your email address. Once submitted, you will be sent an email to confirm the alert. If you do not use the link in the confirmation email, the deal alert will not work. Our alerts are stock aware. If you've set a price alert on a laptop that is out of stock, we'll email you when it comes back in stock at or below your target price. ### How do I choose a good target price for my alert? When you set a price alert, we suggest a few target prices based on our price history for that laptop. You'll usually see a sensible "Good target" or "Decent drop" option, a more aggressive option such as "Match record low" or "Beat record low" for the lowest price we've ever tracked, and a "Custom" option if you'd rather type your own number. Pick whichever suits you and we'll email you when any tracked retailer hits it. ## Choosing a laptop ### Can I sort the deals? You can use the drop down menus near the top of the page to sort deals by price, saving amount in dollars, saving amount as a percent, recently added, brand, screen size, or GPU. More filters are available on the Search page so you can find exactly what you're after. ### Can I search for laptops that aren't currently on sale? Yes! Our Search page is a database of every gaming laptop we track, not just the ones currently on sale. From there you can set a price alert on any laptop, even one that isn't a deal right now, so we can tell you the moment its price drops. ### How do I browse laptops by model instead of by deal? Use our Laptops page. Instead of listing every individual laptop config, it groups laptops by model so you can compare them at a glance. At the top you'll also find our Recommended Models, a short hand-picked list of the laptops we think are best based on our own testing. ### How are deals sorted by default? On the Home page, deals are sorted by newest up the top first, and oldest down the bottom. There's no ranking system. A deal being at the top doesn't mean it's better, just that it was added more recently and is newer. That said, if there is a particularly good deal we may mark it as a "Top Pick" if we think it is worthy of extra attention. Top Picks are clearly marked. On the Search and Laptops pages, we instead sort by the "Popular Models" by default. But you can customize how each page is sorted based on your own preference using the drop down filters. ### Does GamingLaptop.Deals include refurbished, open box or used laptops? No. At this time, we only share deals for brand new gaming laptops. We may add a tab in future for used models, as they provide great value - but if that time comes, they will be clearly labelled as such. ### How do I know if a listed laptop is good for my needs? Our deals can be sorted by price and specs, but ideally you already need to know what you're after to get the most from this website. Ultimately you will need to refer to our gaming laptop reviews to make an informed decision. You can also use our LaptopPicker.com tool, which will make recommendations based on our review data and your requirements. ### What gaming laptop should I buy? That's a big question which deserves a big answer! We've done our best to answer it here. You can also use our LaptopPicker tool, which will ask you three simple questions and provide a recommendation based on our testing data. ### Can you help me choose between two deals? Unfortunately it is not possible for us to offer direct personalized one-on-one assistance at this time. We suggest asking the community on the r/GamingLaptops subreddit - Jarrod occasionally pops in when he has time. Otherwise, supporting members of the YouTube channel can contact us on Discord. ### What should I check before buying a laptop from a retailer? Before buying, always confirm the final details on the retailer's website. Check the exact laptop model and specs, including the GPU, CPU, RAM, storage, display, and whether it is new, refurbished, open box, or used. Also check the final price, tax, shipping cost, delivery date, return policy, warranty, and who the actual seller is if the retailer uses a marketplace. We do our best to keep prices and specs accurate, but retailers can change listings, prices, stock status, coupons, and product pages without notice. The retailer's checkout page is the final source of truth before you buy. ## Corrections and submissions ### I found a good deal! Can you list it on the site? If we also think it's a good deal, then yes! You can send deal submissions to us at deals@gaminglaptop.deals, Depending on email volume, we may or may not reply. Unfortunately we cannot provide feedback on all submissions as to why your submitted deal may or may not be a good deal. ### Your deal prices are wrong / the laptop has sold out! An unfortunate downside of manually hand-picking the best deals is that when prices change or products go out of stock, it may take us a few hours to update the site - especially if we're asleep! We do our best to keep the listings up to date. Although we have some automated price checking where retailers offer API support, these still only update hourly so as to not overload the retailer with requests. Additionally, if a laptop has sold out while on sale, we will show it at full price, as there's no point listing it as a deal if it wasn't actually available to purchase. ### How do you handle corrections? If you spot an incorrect price, expired deal, wrong spec, broken link, stock issue, or anything else that looks off, please email us at deals@gaminglaptop.deals. Helpful details include the GamingLaptop.Deals page or deal, the retailer link, your region, the price or spec you saw, and a screenshot if you have one. We review correction reports as soon as we can. If something is wrong, we update or remove the affected listing. Retailers can change prices and stock without notice, so a deal may occasionally be outdated by the time you click through, but we appreciate reports that help us keep the site accurate.
