Configs to buy / avoid: Buy the RTX 5070 config with Core Ultra 9 288V, 32GB RAM, 14.5 inch OLED touchscreen, 1TB SSD, and 140W Type-C charger only if it is clearly cheaper than the ASUS Zephyrus G14 or you specifically need the touchscreen and stylus touchpad. Avoid paying launch pricing around 2999 Euro, and avoid this laptop if the G14 with RTX 5070 Ti is close in price. Testing notes: The Triton 14 delivered excellent battery life, great battery life while gaming, fast Wi-Fi 7, cool internal temperatures, a premium CNC aluminum chassis, fast OLED response times, the lowest 14 inch click-to-screen latency tested, and decent RTX 5070 gaming performance despite the small 140W Type-C charger. Trade-offs: The main compromises are loud turbo-mode fans, lower multicore CPU performance than its 14" AMD rivals, 8GB VRAM limit on a high-resolution screen, no Advanced Optimus, no G-Sync, no adaptive sync, soldered RAM, one M.2 slot, slow MicroSD, and a haptic touchpad design that may annoy some users. Alternatives: If gaming is the priority, buy the ASUS Zephyrus G14 because when on sale, it's cheaper while offering higher-tier RTX 5070 Ti graphics, 12GB VRAM, better gaming features, stronger CPU performance, better speakers, and better overall it's just a better option. Only pick the Triton 14 instead if the touchscreen, stylus support, and lighter Type-C travel setup matter more than FPS.
