Configs to buy / avoid: Buy the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 config with 64GB RAM, Radeon 8060S graphics, 1TB SSD, 13.4 inch 180Hz touchscreen, and 200W charger around $2,200 USD or less because the extra memory gives you more room to split RAM between system memory and VRAM. Avoid the 32GB model if it costs more than the 64GB version, and avoid the 128GB model unless you specifically need huge memory for local AI or heavy professional workloads. Testing notes: The Flow Z13 delivered excellent multicore CPU performance for a 13 inch tablet, surprisingly capable 1440p gaming from Radeon 8060S graphics, almost 9 hours of video playback on battery, cool surface temperatures, a bright 500 nit touchscreen, fast 3.6ms screen response time, strong MicroSD speeds, and flexible VRAM allocation through software. Trade-offs: The main compromises are extremely high pricing, soldered RAM, one small 2230 M.2 slot, weak speakers, limited Linux support, a dim keyboard, and imperfect lap or desk ergonomics compared to a normal laptop. Our unit also had intermittent touchpad issues and occasional game performance bugs that needed reboots. Alternatives: If you mainly want gaming performance, buy any other normal gaming laptop instead. If you still want a small, premium gaming laptop but do not need the tablet form factor, consider the ASUS Zephyrus G14 instead.
