Our take: The Lenovo LOQ 15 (2025) is one of the best budget-friendly gaming laptops we've tested. Buy the LOQ if you want good gaming performance, quieter operation, solid upgrade options, and premium features like Advanced Optimus and G-Sync without paying Legion prices.
Buy / avoid: Best for value-focused gamers who mostly play plugged in. Skip it if you need a fast eports-ready screen, premium build, or more than one USB-C. Buy an RTX 5060 config on sale with the 245W charger upgrade to avoid battery drain, avoid the 170W charger unless the price is clearly lower. Testing notes: The LOQ 15 stood out for good gaming performance for the money, fans that ran quieter than most other gaming laptops, decent battery life for an Intel config, easy upgrades, a solid plastic build, and surprisingly decent speakers. Trade-offs: The main compromise is the 1080p screen has a slow response time and the included 170W charger can drain the battery under sustained full load. Alternatives: Competitive players should consider the higher-quality 1440p screen which has a faster response time, or compare it against the ASUS TUF F16 depending on the price difference.
