Hello deal hunters!

We haven’t seen many July 4th sales just yet – but there are still some great deals we need to share in our weekly email!

Don’t worry, if any epic deals come out closer to July 4th, we’ll send out a special edition so you won’t miss the best sales.

This Week’s Best Deals

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS

RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600

Display: 14.5” 2880 × 1800 120Hz OLED

$979.99 at Best Buy
Save $500 (34%)
Was $1479.99

Comments: This is just an amazing price for this gaming laptop. In my opinion, it’s one of the best 14 inch gaming laptops available right now.

But it’s been going in and out of stock for online orders depending on your store selection every few hours – So you’ll have to keep an eye on it and act fast.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS

RAM: 16GB DDR5-5600

Display: 15.6” 1920 × 1080 144Hz

SSD: 512GB

$740.99 at eBay
Save $409 (36%)
Was $1149.99

Comments: It’s been a few weeks since we’ve had a good RTX 4050 option to list – but that changes today with the Lenovo LOQ.

The LOQ has been my favorite budget gaming laptop for the last couple of years, and this sale makes it one of the better prices for an RTX 4050 gaming laptop right now.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX

RAM: 32GB DDR5-5200

Display: 16” 2560 × 1600 240Hz

$1899.99 at Best Buy
Save $800 (30%)
Was $2699.99

Comments: This an alright price as far as RTX 4080 gaming laptops go, but a great price when we’re talking about Alienware.

I often mention that these laptops have the “Alienware tax”, because like Razer, they tend to just cost more – but this sale brings Alienware’s m16 more down to earth.

That said, we’ve still got Acer’s Helios 16 with RTX 4080 graphics listed for $100 less. It has similar specs but an Intel processor, and is great value for 4080 performance. The 4080 performs 55% better than the 4070 below it, while also offering 50% more VRAM.

These are some nice deals – but sales change over time. Our website is updated multiple times a day, so check it out regularly to save money 🤑

Tip of the Week

Don’t fall for the myth of future-proofing – Spending more money on a higher tier gaming laptop may not be the answer!

Sure, a more expensive laptop might offer you better performance and features, but it’s not the best move for most people.

Let’s say you have two options:

Buy a solid mid to high end gaming laptop today for $1500

Buy a maxed out gaming laptop today for $3000

Most people would be better off sticking to option 1 – Here’s why.

The reality is that in 4+ years, both laptops are going to struggle playing the latest and greatest games with good settings.

Yeah, the higher cost laptop will age better and last longer – But not enough to account for the improvements that come from future hardware generations.

If you spend $1500 today, you could spend the other $3000 in 3-4 years on a solid mid-range option. That mid-range option years from now will run better than the 3-4 year old laptop over the next few years.

Alright, these are our favorite gaming laptop deals of the week! Did we miss something you have your eyes on 👀? Reply and let us know!
