Gigabyte Aorus Master 18 (2025)

Testing notes: The Aorus Master 18 delivered strong RTX 5090 gaming performance, fast Wi-Fi, cool internal and keyboard temperatures, four RAM slots, three M.2 slots, Advanced Optimus, G-Sync, good Linux support, and a bright QHD+ Mini-LED screen with accurate colors. Trade-offs: The main compromises are loud fans, the GiMate control panel software feels like its in beta, plastic build, risky bottom-panel ribbon cable when accessing internals, front-heavy port placement, lower Mini-LED brightness than advertised, slow response times for a 240Hz panel, weak battery life, and performance that does not justify the price. Alternatives: Most 18" gaming laptops we've tested are better, but Lenovo's Legion 9i is the best and is worth looking at instead. If you want better value, consider Alienware's 18 Area-51, or if you want a quieter comfort-focused option, consider ASUS's Strix Scar 18.
