Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2025)
Ab 3.499 € EUR
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2025) is a clear buy on sale if you want excellent high-end gaming and creator performance in a powerful 16 inch laptop. Best for performance-first gamers and creators who mostly use the laptop plugged in. Skip it if you want maximum portability, rear ports, Thunderbolt 5, Windows Hello face unlock, or good gaming performance over USB-C power. Configs to buy / avoid: This model is worth considering with the RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 graphics, OLED screen, 32GB RAM, 1TB+ SSD and 99Wh battery. If you're after RTX 5070 Ti tier performance, consider saving some money with the lower tier Legion Pro 5i instead. Lenovo might offer a smaller 80Wh battery, we recommend spending a little extra for the bigger 99Wh capacity. Testing notes: The Legion Pro 7i delivered excellent gaming and creator performance, full-powered RTX 5080 & 5090 graphics, very high CPU power from thanks to the large 400W charger, a bright 500 nit OLED screen with sub-0.5ms response times, record breaking system latency, fast Wi-Fi 7, fast Gen 5 SSD speeds, Advanced Optimus, G-Sync, and strong upgrade options. Trade-offs: The main compromises were the large 400W charger, average battery life, terrible 100W USB-C gaming performance, no rear ports, no Thunderbolt 5, no IR camera for Windows Hello, and some Linux issues. Alternatives: If the Legion Pro 7i is too expensive, consider the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i because it still offers strong performance and OLED screen options for less money. You mainly miss out on some extra bells and whistles like more RGB lighting, and the Pro 5i doesn't go above RTX 5070 Ti graphics, making the Pro 7i the choice if you want more performance.

ASUS Zephyrus G16 (2025)
Ab 1.899 € EUR
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) is a clear buy if you want a premium, thin and light 16-inch gaming laptop with good performance, excellent battery life, a beautiful OLED screen, and the best speakers in any gaming laptop we've tested. Best for buyers who want a laptop with decent power that they can actually carry. Skip it if you care more about FPS per dollar, RAM upgrades, Ethernet, or BIOS tuning Configs to buy / avoid: Strongly consider 32GB RAM if available as it's soldered and can never be upgraded, unless 16GB is heavily discounted. The RTX 5070 Ti is a great sweet spot due to its 12GB VRAM, but 5070 & 5060 are still great gaming devices. Avoid spending more for the RTX 5090 unless you specifically need the extra VRAM or don't care about price. Testing notes: In our testing, the Zephyrus G16 lasted just over 11 hours in our YouTube video playback test on battery power, it has a fast sub-1ms OLED response time, great RTX 5070 Ti gaming performance for its size, fast Wi-Fi 7, a fast SD card reader, and two M.2 storage slots. Trade-offs: The main compromises were soldered RAM, lower GPU power than thicker/cheaper laptops, louder fans compared to last gen, no ethernet, minimal BIOS options and weak Linux support. Alternatives: If you want more performance, customization, and upgrade options, but at the expense of a thicker laptop, consider the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i instead. If you're happy spending more for a thinner model, it does not get better than the Zephyrus series.

Lenovo Legion 5i (2025)
Ab 2.175,20 € EUR
The Lenovo Legion 5 (2025) is one of our favorite mid-range gaming laptops if you want strong performance, a portable 15-inch design, excellent battery life, and a fast OLED screen without paying Legion Pro prices. Buy / avoid: Best for gamers who want a balanced laptop for gaming, school, work, and content creation. Skip it if 8GB of VRAM worries you, or if you need G-Sync, Advanced Optimus, Adaptive Sync, or better speakers. Buy an RTX 5060 or 5070 config with the 80Wh battery on sale; choose AMD for longer battery life or Intel for better CPU performance. Avoid lower-end 60Wh battery which doesn't cost much less, lower quality IPS screen, or older CPU configs unless the price is clearly lower. Testing notes: In our testing, the Legion 5 weighed less than last gen, but still offers full upgrade options, cool keyboard temps, quieter fan noise than most gaming laptops, strong RTX 5070 performance, and a bright 2560x1600 OLED screen with fast response times. Trade-offs: The main compromises are the 8GB VRAM limit, weak speakers, forward side ports, no rear port icons, and missing sync/display switching features on the OLED panel. The sweet spot is the RTX 5060 model with 16GB+ RAM, 1TB SSD, and the 80Wh battery because it gives the best balance of performance, portability, battery life, and screen quality. Alternatives: If you want 12GB VRAM or better gaming performance, check out Lenovo's higher tier Legion Pro 5i.
