Configs to buy / avoid: Consider buying the Intel Panther Lake processor versions (356H/386H) for best battery life, but avoid the AMD HX processors (8745HX/8940HX) unless you've got the charger available. The AMD HX and Intel HX processors will offer better CPU performance due to having more cores and threads. Based on our testing, the RTX 5070 GPU does not seem worth paying more for compared to the lower tier 5060, as the 5070 performed like a 5060 already due to GPU power limits. If a slightly bigger laptop is acceptable, the ASUS TUF F16 is also worth considering.
